A Live Online Training Event
Ethics Training for Marriage and Family Therapists is a refresher course that will offer didactic learning and breakout room discussions to explore common ethical issues that occur in the practice of MFT. Participants will review the AAMFT code of ethics, develop a greater understanding of the dominant discourses underlying AAMFT's ethical guidelines, and share experiences in the application of said guidelines. Participants will also be invited to explore alternative discourses and applications of these guidelines.
Six (6) HIAMFT Approved CEUs will be awarded for completion of the full day training and this evaluation form.

10:45-12pm-AAMFT Code of Ethics Standards III & IV
12-1pm-Working Lunch Break-Review AAMFT Code of Ethics Standard V

Dr. John Souza, Jr. is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Dr. John specializes in working with young adults and their families.
Born on O’ahu and raised on the Mainland, John completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN. He went on to earn a Master of Arts and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University, Twin Cities, with a concentration in Addictions and Psychopharmacology (from one year at the University of Minnesota).
When not working Dr. John lives and plays in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai’i.
